Not sure if you gents saw the post game comment from Byron Scott, but he feels the Mavs were showing his team up last night.
Anyone know what Byron Scott's talking about here?
I didn't see anything to indicate the Mavs acting "classless" and trying to show up the Hornets. Unless you count Bass flexing after two dunks but that's a stretch.
By the way this is the same "classy" Hornets team with Possey calling A-Dub a pu$$y (ironic) last night and of course there's that middle of the road power forward David "I'm so pedestrian w/o CP3" West touching Dirk's cheek last May.
Also, here are some funny thoughts on Byron Scott from a Spurs blog.

As a side note, does any coach in the league have more of a statue stance than Byron Scott? He's go the arm crossed stance down.
Sunday will be a true test on what this team can do in the playoffs. I'm excited to see what our boys in blue got.
After a long season of consistent inconsistency and blowout heart brakes, the Mavs have a chance to send a message to the West that Dallas will not be an easy out for anyone in the playoffs.

Shaq-- maybe???
Shaq Facing Unsure Future With Suns
Shaquille O'Neal | Suns
Shaquille O'Neal blames the Suns season's "athletic culture changes" for the team's demise and knows his future with them is uncertain."I'm sure there's going to be some decisions to be made," said O'Neal, whose contract expires with a $20 million salary next season. "It's not my job (to decide). There are two types of business owners. Do you want to win or do you want to save money? Period."
When asked which one Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver was, O'Neal said: "I'm not sure. The guy over here (Dallas owner Mark Cuban) spends money. I don't think he's really worried about the salary cap. I've been around 17 years and that's what it is. You either want to win and don't really care about the salary cap or you want to be under the salary cap." -- The Arizona Republic
Of course the first question is do we want him? The second is will Cuban pay for 1-2 years of 70% Shaq? I think the Mavs are more suited to having Shaq than the Suns were.

Parity in the Western Conference
Check out the latest standings in the Western Conference. Everyone in spots 2-10 has gone 6-4 over the last 10 except the Rockets who are 7-3. Amazing how this is going down. Gonna be a fun couple of last weeks.

From Shiff... + my thoughts

---------------------------
My thoughts: this could be great for this season, particularly with how Shaq is playing, but we do still have the problem of him only playing 1 of 2 nights on back to back games. Who do we plug in behind him? Diop Diop is gone... is there anyone else on the roster who can fill this spot?

I have just changed my expectations...#4 seed and first round home court is a huge victory for this team and is within reach. A first round victory would be awesome. After that everything is gravy. Even though they lost guys like Wright and Carroll stepped up which is only going to make them better once JET gets back...and if Stackhouse has anything the depth of this team just jumped up a notch.I think these guys are starting to figure out how to win and that is a good step. They don't seem scared anymore. Dirk didn't back down when KG started barking at him...he stepped up and nailed a 3. KG is a punk..I used to respect the guy...not so much anymore. Please please please please no Vince Carter or Shaq. I wouldn't mind a Brad Miller for Stackhouse and Bass trade, but no VC or SHAQ!

Call me an optimist, but I think the Mavs played their hearts out tonight. They never backed down. This is the start of great things. Let's get a little rest and take control of the #4 seed. No team scares the Mavs anymore and that is something to build upon.

I know that Josh fouled out and we were missing Jet, but did you guys see those stats on Mavs in the 4th quarter? F'n A. Just when I thought we were good enough to compete.
