I think thats best case as the Mavs have played Portland well all season, although I think SA would be favorable as well with Manu out. Not super psyched about Houston or Denver, but both teams have a history of not getting out of the first round
I would love to watch a New Orleans / Dallas 2nd rd matchup...although NO has played Dallas very well it really feels the Mavs are starting to figure them out and its turning into a great rivalry...but I don't want to get to far ahead of ourselves...one game at a time
Dirk as 1st team came up yesterday either on the telecat or on post game radio.
Stein has Pierce there but I have to respectfully disagree for 3 reasons...2 are valid.
1) Dirk's numbers are better and he is the focal point every night. Pierce is the focal point but not when Ray is having a great night. Dirk is always the focus. 2) Dirk's got his numbers in the West. The East ellite might be tougher but top to bottom the West is much tougher. 3) I'm a homer and believe Dirk is a better player.
So far this is a pretty weak effort by the boys in white tonight. Minnesota is going to give them a game...the sooner they realize this and turn it up the better
In all seriousness, Bass b/c of his youth and upside. While JJB is a great role player and telfair has upside, both won't pan out like I see Bass doing in the next 2 years.
other than Dirk I don't see any intensity or heart...lose tonight and say goodbye to the 6 seed and most likely the 7 seed, not to mention the 9 year 50 win streak
when you talk about momentum going into the playoffs, game winning shots like that are what make teams in the playoffs. Great win. Mavs played like crap for about 1/2 of it, but somehow still got the win
Mavs are out of the 8 now for sure...Utah is 2 down with one left. Mavs have HOU at home and NO is at SA...all 4 teams (Mavs, Hou, NO, SA) all have a lot to play for...should be a good game Weds night
no Josh tonight...that's a big gamble. Mavs better not lose
ReplyDeleteJJB coming out hot
ReplyDeleteWatching the nba broadband on my work computer...picture is hdesqe
ReplyDeleteSo is best case scenario Mavs (#6) v Portland (#3)?
ReplyDeleteObviously meaning we have to win out and have NO loose out.
Can't get too greedy w/Damp.

ReplyDeleteI am glad to see Singleton get in early...I was dissapointed that he didn't get any PT on Sunday
ReplyDeleteSome defense and offense would be nice here Mavs.
ReplyDeleteMcHale looks horrible...hope he's ok. Looks like he's auditioning for Leaving Las Vegas 2
ReplyDeleteFollowill just posed a great question...is Dirk 1st team NBA this year?
ReplyDeleteQuit shooting 3s...forming bad habits.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that this one's gonna stay close for a while...
ReplyDeleteTime for Kevin to re-post his freethrow post.
ReplyDeleteThose were the only two Mavs free throws of the night...not good.
Smith is fat nasty.

I am not seeing the intensity tonight that we have seen over the last week or so
ReplyDeleteJJB has gotten extremely astute at drawing charges.
ReplyDeleteFn 3s are killing thats 3 possesions in the row we've jacked up a 3
ReplyDeleteWho would you rather have, Bassy Telfair or JJB?
ReplyDeleteSo far this is a pretty weak effort by the boys in white tonight. Minnesota is going to give them a game...the sooner they realize this and turn it up the better
ReplyDeleteBass. I already have the tshirt.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, Bass b/c of his youth and upside. While JJB is a great role player and telfair has upside, both won't pan out like I see Bass doing in the next 2 years.
ReplyDeleteT-Wolves got hot, we went cold, not big deal.
ReplyDeletePass that sh*t to Dirk man.
ReplyDeleteShiff is right. No intensity at all in the 2ndQ.
ReplyDeleteMinny got hot b/c we are standing around on D and we got cold b/c we're jacking up long jumpers instead of trying to run actual plays.
I wish Carlisle would have had J-Ho suit up but not play unless he was needed, and right now I think we might have need him for the second half
ReplyDeleteThis is horseshit
ReplyDeletequick jacking f-ing 3's and get to the hole
ReplyDeletecan't even get a layup
ReplyDelete14 straight misses, most are jump shots and 3's...get to the f-ing hole or get to the line
ReplyDeleteMinn is in the penalty...got to get to the line now
ReplyDeletedefense created the offense
ReplyDeleteDirk!!!
ReplyDeleteDirk may have to carry the entire load tonight
ReplyDeleteother than Dirk I don't see any intensity or heart...lose tonight and say goodbye to the 6 seed and most likely the 7 seed, not to mention the 9 year 50 win streak
ReplyDeletebad foul by Terry...down by 6 going into the 4th...time to see if this team has learned anything the past few weeks.
ReplyDeleteHouston is up 22 on NO...come on guys, we need this one
ReplyDeleteI put my Bass shirt on for good luck...
ReplyDeletegood D by Wright...Mavs gotta capitalize
ReplyDeleteI might throw up.
ReplyDeleteWhy jack up the 3...get the two.
ReplyDeletecome on Damp, you gotta be smarter than that
ReplyDeleteThere you go Kevin...you've been asking for Kidd to pull the Reggie Miller.
ReplyDeletesmart play by Kidd
ReplyDeleteTime to make a stand or this one is over
ReplyDeleteLets go Mavs!
ReplyDeleteThank you God for the bouns.
ReplyDeleteRockets are doing there part Mavs...now lets do our part!
F Brian Cardinal...great hands Jason!
ReplyDeleteHouston has beat NO...tie game...let's roll
ReplyDeleteI think Kidd got away with one on the Miller steal
ReplyDeleteBe a Fn monster Drik...love it...great move.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note...nice move by Mavs w/Roudy, Proud and Loud w/all the pictures of fans that sent them in over the season.
ReplyDeleteIf Dirk doesn't get to shoot this, I will kick my foot throw the damn TV.
ReplyDeleteI cant believe Damp didn't bobble that out of bounds w/his David LeFleur hands.
Great D down the stretch...this one is all Dirk
ReplyDeleteJET!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just F'd up my TV...my bad. Way to show up Jett.
ReplyDeletewhen you talk about momentum going into the playoffs, game winning shots like that are what make teams in the playoffs. Great win. Mavs played like crap for about 1/2 of it, but somehow still got the win
ReplyDeleteVirtual hand shake boys...a W is a W.
ReplyDeleteWed is a big one make sure and get your best Mavs gear ready.
Mavs are out of the 8 now for sure...Utah is 2 down with one left. Mavs have HOU at home and NO is at SA...all 4 teams (Mavs, Hou, NO, SA) all have a lot to play for...should be a good game Weds night
