Utah lost on the road to Denver last night, so now the Mavs are only 1 game out of the 7 spot, which gives some added importance to tonight's game. Let's chat about it HERE
I was thinking about seeding and crunched some numbers:
The Mavs are 1 game back of Utah and play them once more in Dallas. I am not sure what the tiebreaker would be as their season series would be 2-2, but essentially the Mavs control their own destiny in getting out of the 8 spot.
Same goes for New Orleans, who is 2.5 games up, but the Mavs play them twice which means if they can win both, they can essential control their own destiny against them as well. The #6 see is a reasonable goal, which would put them up against Denver, Houston, or San Antonio.
Out of those 3 would you most like to play? The least?
Also, Portland plays 6 of their last 9 on the road where they are 16-20 on the season. They would need to go 5-4 the rest of the way out (and the Mavs would need to win out) to pass them to the #5.
Yea, after thinking about it some more NO would need to go 5-4 and Dallas would need to beat them twice and go undefeated the rest of the way out...prob not gonna happen
Why are we so horrid in the 3rd? This S has to stop...I'm tired of seeing us suck ass and dig a hole in the 3rd and have to play lights out in the 4th to win.
I was about to say the Memphis announcers sound like Bob and Mark...then I realized it is them. I wonder why we are getting the Dallas feed on broadband...no complaints. its just weird.
tonight defines this team in a nutshell...great in streches, but just too damn inconsistent...not way they get out of the first round against the Lakers.
Somebody needs to lay off the sweets

ReplyDeleteI think the #5 is out... so is probably NO... Let's hope for the 7 seed. Guess it's just us tonight.

ReplyDeleteJ Ho is out...that sucks. I guess the Mavs can afford to rest him against Memphis, but they really need to get him worked into the rotation
ReplyDeleteGotta pick up the defense in the 2nd half
ReplyDeletewhat a shitty defensive effort
ReplyDeleteSince Ammanuel isn't here...WTF
ReplyDeleteWhats up gents.
ReplyDeleteJazz own tie breaker b/c they have better conf record. Mavs can't catch up w/their record.
This wedding is horseshit!

ReplyDeleteI am starting to wonder if they are making good adjustments at halftime...its seems they are always getting outplayed in the 3rd
ReplyDeleteF-ing Wright...make a freaking shot
ReplyDeleteWhat was that foul all about...Looked like Dirk and Kidd were doing a prison rape
ReplyDeleteI was about to say the Memphis announcers sound like Bob and Mark...then I realized it is them. I wonder why we are getting the Dallas feed on broadband...no complaints. its just weird.
ReplyDeleteGasol should have been called for a foul there, if I was Kidd I would be pissed too if a 7 footer tried to run me over and I didn't get the call
ReplyDeletek. computer issues. Back. Assuming no more issues
ReplyDeleteWas that shot a 2 or a 3...I didn't see it
ReplyDeleteGreat block. Can't wait for us to tie it up w/out even taking the court, after they review the 3 that was a 2.
ReplyDeleteThis quarter has been very choppy
ReplyDeleteHey boys - wireless is down at Frankies, having a hard time posting. But I'm on the game.
ReplyDeleteBig fundraiser, one of the bartenders has cancer. Lots of Publicis folks Metta.
Gents I know we all know it but...Dirk is greatness. We will all look back and miss these days with him on the floor for the Mavs.
ReplyDeleteDirk...and the foul!
ReplyDeleteLayla just texted me...sounds awesome...not the cancer but the support for her.
ReplyDeleteI am stunned that Marco Jaric is still in the league
ReplyDeleteHow about Greg Buckner? I didn't know he was still in the league. Is Adrian Griffen still in Chicago?
ReplyDelete06 Playoffs defenitely...who cares about a regular season game vs Mil
ReplyDeleteYeah, Dirk is sick. I'd like to stack up his #'s this year v. '07.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Clevelands logo a flag w/a C...kind of lame. They should just change the logo to Lebron's face.
ReplyDeleteKidd on Gay. That says something.
ReplyDeleteWhere is JHo?
ReplyDeleteHe actually went to the rack...wow.
ReplyDeleteWrist..he's sitting out to rest it.
ReplyDeleteLets go Mavs...fight to get the 7 seed.
ReplyDeletewould you do Howard for Gay?
ReplyDeleteWTF....Kevin you need to repost your freethrow post.
ReplyDeleteFinally some good D
ReplyDeleteNot sure about Howard for Gay. We need someone who goes to the basket.
ReplyDeleteF-ing Mayo
ReplyDeleteReally a 3?
ReplyDelete#8 seed and first round exit here we come
ReplyDeletebad
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell's up with the give up on offense.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with that shot by Kidd.
ReplyDeleteGrizz are playing really well.
I was talking about the 3 comign out of the to...that's the best play you can draw up
ReplyDeleteF
ReplyDeletehorrible ft from conley
ReplyDeleteTerry barely hit the backboard on that one
ReplyDeleteLA here we come.
ReplyDeletek. dinner time. late.

ReplyDeleteJust went cold. I'll see you boys on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI read something about potential AI and Marion here if they can get them cheap.
ReplyDeleteThat does nothing for me...thoughts?
Cuban looks like the only one pissed.
ReplyDeleteI'd love Marion for his D, but screw AI.
