Come on Shiff...this is one of the reason's we got Kidd. So he can help Damp catch the ball in places he can make a play.
Put him in positions to make contributions. We know Damp's not an offensive force but if we can make him get some easy buckets to give him a positive attitude...it will pay dividends on the defensive side of the floor.
I am more concerned about energy in the 2nd half, like last week during the NO game. Same situation...tough team, back to back, on the road. If they come out like this in the 2nd half then I am sold
Shiff - I really like the current settings, widgets, etc. I love the old school pics for who do we follow, nice work.
As far as the partnership goes...I don't see why not. But we'd need to contribute as a group yearly, rather than pay individually. We could each pitch in $100 per year, and then write it off, which would effectively save $25 per year (depending on your tax rate). Though that would def advance our press pass goals.
Great Read, Kevin, thanks for posting. It is hard to believe their window has already closed. 3 years ago I thought they were set for the decade with Amare, Barbosa, Diaw, and Marion...now they are worse off than the Mavs. Nash looks old, and even though Shaq is playing well, I don't expect him to be in Phoenix next season.
I think that was a good foul there Shiff, on the floor, kept Portland from a breakaway, which is not only an easy 2, but would have launched half the crowd ot of their seats.
The Portland announcers might be the masters of the backhanded compliment. After Dirk hit that shot, they were like "Look at him crying at the officials, but I guess thats why he's an 8 time All Star"
Honestly, if George is out for a while...is it the worst thing in the world? JJB on the other hand would be tough (I would give you $1000 dollars if you knew I would say that before the season started)
That was a big one. GS on Friday is next and won't be easy with Nellie at the helm. If they win Friday, I might have to think about giving MDS live updates from Staples Center on Sunday
Sweet Pic!
ReplyDeleteLike a said last week before this 7 game stretch started, anything less than 5-2 and this team is mediocre at best:
ReplyDeletevs Spurs - W
@ Hornets - L
vs Washington - W
@ Phoenix - W
They need 2 out of the next 3 games before coming home to Detroit.
How do i watch the game on www.channel surfing.
ReplyDeleteThere's only audio
Never mind its up on NBA broadband
ReplyDeleteLets get it on!
ReplyDeleteShiff - was there no lost today?
ReplyDeleteFollowill - "Dampier able to direct it in, not dunk it."
ReplyDeleteThe boys are coming out with energy.
ReplyDeleteLets see if they can keep it up.
No new LOST tonight, its an "enhanced" version of last week's episode
ReplyDeleteI think not getting obliterated by Shaq might have given Erik some confidence.
ReplyDeleteDirk's coming out hot...I like it
ReplyDeleteyou mean Ericka?
ReplyDeleteThis is the F'n type of Dallas Maverick basket ball I've waited for all season.
ReplyDeleteKeep fighting...no give up. Keep it up boys.
Come on Shiff...this is one of the reason's we got Kidd. So he can help Damp catch the ball in places he can make a play.
ReplyDeletePut him in positions to make contributions. We know Damp's not an offensive force but if we can make him get some easy buckets to give him a positive attitude...it will pay dividends on the defensive side of the floor.
Mavs need to pick it up on the boards
ReplyDeleteLakers and Houston have a good game going right now...at this point I guess we need to root for LA so the Rockets fall back in the pack
ReplyDeleteFF is doing this F'd up thing where the "post a comment box" doesn't load. Anyone else getting this problem?
ReplyDeleteGood 1st quarter.
ReplyDeleteThey made it a game with the 3 ball.
Live by the three....
sloppy quarter by the Mavs. They should be up about 10 right now. Portland shot like crap and still has the lead.
ReplyDeleteKevin, I am getting the same problem too. I have been going back to the main page and then going back to the comments
ReplyDeleteand I am using IE so it must be a Blogger issue
ReplyDeleteShiff, works fine in IE. I'm not very impressed with blogspot.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with Brandon Bass.
We have a DG sighting!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed on sloppiness...but the energy is there.
ReplyDeleteI think they're in good position.
These are fixable issues.
Yea, it seems like if you have more than 2 people on the same site it doesn't work right. Fortunately SSL doesn't have that problem
ReplyDeleteJJB is shooting 31.5% from behind the arc...and 43% from the field. Should be pretty easy for Carlisle to tell him "don't shoot 3s," shouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI am more concerned about energy in the 2nd half, like last week during the NO game. Same situation...tough team, back to back, on the road. If they come out like this in the 2nd half then I am sold
ReplyDeleteDirk is in the zone right now
ReplyDeleteI think the Mavs got your message Shiff...they're being more active on the boards
ReplyDeleteKevin- I'm having issues on ie as well.
ReplyDeleteif you hit the thread at the top it will refresh so you can post.
Sucks that you have to do that but it makes it work.
much better effort on the boards. Bass is getting after it
ReplyDeleteLove me some Bass.
ReplyDeletePortland announcers said no foul on Bass.
ReplyDeleteThey said the Blazers just went through the two hands to block the ball.....???
Dirk is putting on a clinic.
ReplyDeleteI think the Mavs found an offensive play that works
ReplyDeleteJJB...and the foul
ReplyDeleteThe Mavs are playing with confidence and attitude. I like it
ReplyDeleteThe Lakers make the call
ReplyDeleteand Vlade will be happy with that
ReplyDeleteMy ie is f'd.
ReplyDeletemy toolbar just dissapeared and had to google how to get it back.
Glad that yahoo is my homepage.
Damn intenet porn viruses.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qictJiTl3d0
ReplyDeleteThoughts on Melanie Collins?
ReplyDeleteHey now
ReplyDeleteThe sideline reporter for the Blazers is pretty hot too, Rebecca Harlow
ReplyDeleteGreat Ebrake youtube find.
ReplyDeleteWe need to upgrade this site to put youtube videos like this.
Plus we need to add our own shtick videos (excuse spelling)
I have already thought about putting together a youtube report a la Kige Ramsey
ReplyDeleteOutstanding 1st half. I'm looking forward to the next 24.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have any thoughts on the widgets/layout/format, etc?
ReplyDeleteexcellent 1st half. I just hope they come out with the same energy in the 2nd half
ReplyDeleteGreat thing about the West being so tight is that every team has to put forth energy.
ReplyDeleteIf the Mavs blow there wadd in the fight...so will everyone else.
Houston and Utah both lost tonight...Mavs need this one
ReplyDeleteKevin, if we formed a partnership, could we write off our sports subscriptions (NBA League Pass, NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB Extra Innings, etc)?
ReplyDeleteFor the most part, I'm going to step out of the layout conversation...I don't want to add un-needed input.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have a great handle on it.
Great idea Kevin.
ReplyDeleteIts worth a try.
Are we talking an LLC
Kidd...and the foul!
ReplyDeleteShiff - I really like the current settings, widgets, etc. I love the old school pics for who do we follow, nice work.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the partnership goes...I don't see why not. But we'd need to contribute as a group yearly, rather than pay individually. Nice energy to start the 2nd half, they just need to keep the foot on the gas pedal and keep the crowd out of it. The Rose Garden is a little quiet
ReplyDeleteCould we add on the Garner house as an aditional investment under our partnership
ReplyDeleteKidd wanted to go behind the back there to Damp...but then he saw it was Damp.
ReplyDeleteI guess JJB didn't read my post about his 3pt shooting %.
Hell yeah Metta, we gotta have our annual meetings somewhere.
ReplyDeleteLive by the three...
ReplyDeleteOffensive foul my a**. I think that Portland is poised to make a run here, crowd getting into it, let's hold 'em off.
ReplyDeleteNice TO.
I spoke too soon
ReplyDeleteDid you guys check out the article about the Suns I posted above? It's fun to read about someone else's doom and gloom for a change.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind when JJB takes a wide open 3...I just don't like it when he's got a hand in his face
ReplyDeleteGreat Read, Kevin, thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteOkay, time to stave off the rally. I'd like to see Dirk getting the ball at the elbow next time down the floor.
ReplyDeleteDirk needs to quit doing those cheap fouls after he gets the ball stolen, or doesn't get a call
ReplyDeleteI think that was a good foul there Shiff, on the floor, kept Portland from a breakaway, which is not only an easy 2, but would have launched half the crowd ot of their seats.
ReplyDeleteCome on Mavs..dig in here.
ReplyDeleteIn that situation I understand, but it seems that he does commit a lot of fouls out of frustration
ReplyDeleteAt least he's dunking...wish he wouldn't hang on the rim all the time
ReplyDeleteAs far as I am concerned if he can put it in the basket he can hang on the rim as long as he wants
ReplyDeleteGot to make them pay for doubling Dirk...come on Mavs...help him out.
ReplyDeleteMetta - you nailed it above. Damp just needs a little confidence to play like a world beater.
ReplyDeletePortland getting all the calls this quarter. They are going to run out of steam...just keep them at bay for another 2 min.
Great post move Kidd. Let's do it again if they are gonna put Rodriguez on him.
ReplyDeleteThe Portland announcers might be the masters of the backhanded compliment. After Dirk hit that shot, they were like "Look at him crying at the officials, but I guess thats why he's an 8 time All Star"
ReplyDeleteFantastic finish by Kidd there, I admit, I didn't think he'd make it.
ReplyDeleteTerrible decision by Roy, he could have dribbled for another 1.5 seconds and taken a much better shot. Nice close boys.
Nice finish to the quarter. I think this one is going down to the wire
ReplyDeleteLets get Dirk some rest here and keep the lead boys. We are in position..we need to prove that we have that ability to close teams on the road.
ReplyDeleteShiff-Tech just came back by 22 to beat A&M
ReplyDeleteLet's get Dirk a rest here. Time to bring Damp back in v. Pryzbilla.
ReplyDeletePile up the fouls
ReplyDeleteI'm very concerned about Dirk's stamina here...though the Mavs have been money in close games this year, 13-3 in those decided by 5 points or less.
ReplyDeleteDirk might not sit this half
ReplyDeletenice...it's always good to beat the Aggies
ReplyDeleteIf Dirk doesn't sit here then Rick's riding him the entire rest of the way.
ReplyDeleteI wish Russell was here.
They gotta give him at least a 2-3 minute rest
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing the Bass/Hollins duo for a few minutes here
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or did Devean George fake fall there?
ReplyDeleteDG...i'm laughing so hard...oh shit.
ReplyDeleteWTF didn't George pull himself out of the game there? F'n selfish man. Cost us a point and a foul.
ReplyDeleteNBA Broadband is nice. Finish Devin.
ReplyDeleteI'm not laughing anymore.
ReplyDeleteHere's comes the Bass show.
Unfortunately, I think it was a real fall
ReplyDeleteDirk time.
ReplyDeleteDirk is tired...I would have liked to see him rest through the 3 min TV time out.
ReplyDeleteDirk + Jet at 40 shots for the game.
Honestly, if George is out for a while...is it the worst thing in the world? JJB on the other hand would be tough (I would give you $1000 dollars if you knew I would say that before the season started)
ReplyDeleteI think you are right Kevin. All of Dirk's shots seem a bit short
ReplyDeleteGut check time boys
ReplyDeleteDirk will be ok...he knows his body. If he has to he'll figure out a way to get to the line.
ReplyDeleteNice foul LA.
ReplyDeleteDIRK!
ReplyDeleteBucket here is huge
ReplyDeleteHuge
ReplyDeleteBig Shot Dirk!!!
ReplyDeleteLA is so quick that he got juked, was able to jump again, still got a hand in Dirk's face, and Dirk STILL NAILED IT. One more stop boys.
ReplyDelete(btw, I'm sitting on the edge of my coffee table, with my laptop)
Next time I take a shot at the bar I'm grabbing my pants like Dirk just did and walk out
ReplyDeleteThat a boy. If anyone can fight through fatigue its Dirk.
ReplyDeleteDagger.
ReplyDeleteAs Shiff pointed out a few games ago, Dirk needs to work on the shirt popping a bit.
Dirk is so money
ReplyDeleteCody - GENIUS. Next time I see you let's do it.
ReplyDeleteDid Kidd foul Outlaw on that scramble for the ball?
ReplyDeleteShiff I'm fn grabbing my pants this weekend after every shot.
ReplyDeleteFn awesome...Dirk is the man
I think it was an accidental foul but hard for the refs to see b/c they both dove to the ground.
ReplyDeleteThat would be AWESOME. Great BAR exit idea ever
ReplyDeleteI don't think Kidd fouled him there, that looked like a good no call to me.
ReplyDeleteFull time out, all we need is an in-bounds and one free throw.
get it to Dirk and let him ice this bad boy
ReplyDeleteYou think Devin can help us out with a win vs Portland.
ReplyDeleteBack to back on the road gentelmen...great win.
ReplyDeleteLets get some rest and get a 3rd in Oakland on Friday.
Great win boys! What a game!
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot.
ReplyDeleteVirtual handshake.
Nice. Okay gents, see you Fri night and/or Sun afternoon.
ReplyDeleteMetta - txt when you land on Fri, let me know what your dinner plans are.
ReplyDeleteWill do.
ReplyDeleteThat was a big one. GS on Friday is next and won't be easy with Nellie at the helm. If they win Friday, I might have to think about giving MDS live updates from Staples Center on Sunday
ReplyDeleteIf you do live updates...I'm on an early flight back to Denver.
ReplyDeleteTalk to you boys Friday evening.
Later boys.
Later boys...let's keep this train rolling!
ReplyDelete
