Watching this on NBATV...we've got the Spurs announcing crew..sounds like Dave Barnett and Sean Elliot. Barnett is pretty solid but I already know Elliotis going to piss me off before the end of the game
I think the Mavs have underachieved and the Spurs overachieved all game (without Duncan and Manu). Eventually this has got to even out right. I am calling Mavs 92 SPARE 89
Mavs at 35% for the game. Ouch. Just one of those games. This will definitely help to temper any excitement...SA is an elite team. That I can think of, we've beat one this year, Orlando at their place (if you consider them elite).
If you get a chance, go back to about 5 min to go when the Mavs first go to a zone, and check out how long it takes Finley to realize the Mavs are in a zone and he there is no one for him to pick.
But 76 points is pretty bad...34.2%...those both gotta be lows for the season. It's okay, winning the first round will be a tremendous season in my mind.
13-7 Spurs 6:40 in the 1st. F Tony Parker

ReplyDeleteThis might be the shortest Game Thread ever if it doesn't get any better. Parker with 16...F
ReplyDelete18...double F
ReplyDeleteThis is bad...
ReplyDeleteSingleton & Carroll already in the game. Had Carlisle already thrown the white flag?
ReplyDeleteWell...that sucked. 32-19 Spares at the end of 1
ReplyDeleteSpurs shoot 70% in the 1st. Let's see if they can get it to 80
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh. As soon as I found out Duncan was out, I was worried they would play like ass.
ReplyDeleteThey better f'n put a forearm into tony parker

WTF!
ReplyDeleteIn other news, I hear that the Academy Awards were on TV the other night...maybe we can go through the list of winners
ReplyDeleteMight be more entertaining than this shit
ReplyDeleteHey Ammaunel! Good times!
ReplyDeleteDown to 5!
ReplyDeleteJJB!!!!
ReplyDeleteAccording to Sean Elliot the Mavs are getting all the breaks...hmmm
ReplyDeleteI hate Spurs announcers...its hard to hear the game through all the slurping.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding. At least Ortegal keeps it real
ReplyDeleteMavs down by 6 at the half. Considering how they started it could be way worse
ReplyDeleteBTW Ammanuel, I am kicking your ass right now in fantasy b-ball. Its 6-2
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot I was in a league....watch out for the come back
ReplyDeletewell, that is kind of sad for me considering I am behind you in the standings and have been trying all season
ReplyDeleteWhen did Kurt Thomas turn into Tim Duncan?
ReplyDeleteSeriously...the Mavs are getting hacked on every rebound
ReplyDeleteAt least Singleton is getting to the boards
ReplyDeleteSean...the Spurs rarely take Dirk out of the games...look at his avg.
ReplyDeleteDirk's getting doubled...Mavs need another scorer to get Spurs out of the double...ala Jet
We need Dirk to step up huge starting now.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Academy Awards...Oberto just earned one there..nice flop jackass
ReplyDeleteHe didn't even touch Oberto...
ReplyDeleteYou call it Shiff...win or loss
ReplyDelete69-58 at the end of 3. I still think this game is there for the taking. The Mavs need to start off hot and close it to a 5-6 point game.
ReplyDeleteI'm calling win.
ReplyDeleteI think the Mavs have underachieved and the Spurs overachieved all game (without Duncan and Manu). Eventually this has got to even out right. I am calling Mavs 92 SPARE 89
ReplyDeleteAre either of you using FF? For some reason I can't post in FF. Using IE now.
ReplyDeleteusing IE
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely gonna give us the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteBarea got reamed "YOU LET FINLEY GET A STEAL? He hasn't stolen anything since he stole those Club porn mags in Madison in '95."
ReplyDeleteIts over
ReplyDeleteDirk's in a serious slump
ReplyDeleteI hate when it becomes the JJB show
ReplyDeleteEveryone of those are daggers to Cuban? Uh...he saved $50M in luxury tax money

ReplyDeleteWithout Duncan and Manu I would hardly consider them elite
ReplyDeleteFinley wouldn't help this team any. He plays a marginal role for SA. If anything, he'd be a tremendous liability in the playoffs.
ReplyDeleteSean Elliot makes me want to punch my TV
ReplyDeleteWithout Terry, Dirk is getting doubled on every posession. I think if anything this game shows, it is how much the Mavs need Terry
ReplyDeleteWho is worse...SA fans or Utah fans? For me its a toss up
ReplyDeleteHow is that not a foul?
ReplyDeleteThat was bullshit
ReplyDeleteBowen nails Dirk in the head...no foul. Ridiculous
ReplyDeleteIf you get a chance, go back to about 5 min to go when the Mavs first go to a zone, and check out how long it takes Finley to realize the Mavs are in a zone and he there is no one for him to pick.
ReplyDeleteF That...
ReplyDeleteThat was a good call.
ReplyDeleteIf you are an NBA ref and you see a guy fall down, do you automatically just blow your whistle on instinct?
ReplyDeleteProbably...but I do think that Dirk was guilty of a charge there. Bowen was posted up in the lane.
ReplyDeleteApparently Tony is not tired...you know why? The announcers told me that he wasn't. They can read his mind and its says "I'm not tired"
ReplyDeleteJust a bad shooting night.
ReplyDeletePathetic effort...so much for turning this f-ing thing around.
ReplyDeleteYou are prob right Kevin. I just hate having to listen to the damn Spurs announcers tell me how whipped the Mavs are and how great the Spurs are.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna watch 24, catch you boys later. I'll be at the game tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteAlright guys...I am going to run my head into a brick wall for about 20 minutes.
ReplyDeleteLate

ReplyDeleteMy comments aren't saving.
ReplyDeleteNice picture Shiff
